A/N: I wrote this after going home after watching Rurouni Kenshin movie -> Ok, that was so unrelated but, whatever!

Being in love has never been this great. You always feel inspired to everything you do. Inoo receives a morning greeting from his cute little lover and a very sweet phone call before he sleeps. All of this can make all of his tiresome activities vanished with just his smile. But love can also cause you a huge heartbreak.

“Inoo-chan, let’s go home together?” the short guy asked as they just finished changing their clothes after their whole day dance rehearsal. The other members already left and the two of them are alone on their dressing room.

“Gomen, Dai-chan. I have to finish this then I’ll go straight to my classmate’s place for group study” Inoo didn’t even look at his lonely boyfriend because of his homework. He heard a deep sigh coming from the latter and made him look at him.

“Come here” he pulled Daiki for an embrace and whispered to apologize again.

“I understand, but promise you’ll take me out tomorrow on our day-off, ok?” Daiki mumbled as he hugged back.

“Um, yakusoku!” Inoo pulled away and cling their pinky fingers together. Daiki smiled again and peck him.

“I love you…” Daiki said after that short kiss then let go of his arms. An arm pulled him back and he found himself pinned on the couch. Inoo’s hand made its way inside his shirt. Inoo kissed him hungrily while his hand caressing the shorter boy’s pale skin under the shirt. Daiki moaned when the slim fingers touched his nipples. Inoo took the chance to explore Daiki’s mouth with his tongue. The kiss took longer until they both needed air to breathe. Daiki’s face looked red when they pulled apart. Inoo held their foreheads together as he stared at his cute boyfriend’s face.

“Sorry” the older mumbled. Daiki shook his head a little and cupped Inoo’s face.

“It’s been a while since we kissed like this” Daiki answered but got disappointed when Inoo stood and went back to the table to finish his homework.

            The following day, he didn’t manage to take Daiki on a date because of a sudden project deadline. Daiki said he understands him and that made him rest assured that everything’s fine. As days, weeks and even months passed, Inoo got busier because of his graduation thesis and essay. They only see each other during their JUMP’s activities and nothing more. Inoo kept apologizing to his boyfriend. Inoo didn’t thought it was their last make out that night. Until one day, he saw a familiar smile Daiki was showing whenever he talks with Takaki. He tried to remember when was the last time he saw that and figured it out too late.

“Daiki, can we talk for a while?” Daiki was shocked when Inoo used his given name, not the usual ‘Dai-chan’ but nevertheless nodded and followed him. Takaki’s gaze followed the couple as they left their dressing room and sighed deeply when they’re gone.

“What’s the matter Inoo-chan? Why you look so serious?” Daiki chuckled. Inoo felt his heart being stabbed as he saw that smile.

That smile, it’s so different. Yappari, he’s in love with somebody new.

“Daiki Arioka, I’m setting you free” Inoo said as he looked straight into Daiki’s eyes. A tear fell from Daiki’s eye.

“W-hat? I’m sorry if I did something wrong. Please, Inoo-chan. Don’t do this” the latter begged as his tears continued to flow.

“No, Daiki. It’s me who was wrong. I never asked if you were mad or sad…”

            Daiki’s eyes widened as he tried to understand him

“Daiki, you should have told me a long time ago…” Inoo can’t stop his tears anymore and it already flowed continuously.

“You should have told me when you were lonely, when you needed me to be there” Inoo took a deep breath and placed his hands on Daiki’s shoulders.

“But sadly, you never gave me too many chances to show you how much I care. You should have got mad and made me come to our supposed to be dates but you didn’t…”

“Inoo-chan, sorry… I…”

“I should have seen it coming, I should have read the signs earlier…”

“No, I don’t want to end our relationship…” Daiki shook his head and looked down.

“Daiki, you’re tears right now is not sadness… it’s for being free. Free from all your struggles and wearies…”

“No! I love you!”Daiki insisted

“It’s written all over your face whenever you’re with Takaki so I know…”

Daiki got silence upon hearing that name.

“Daiki, you’re in love with Takaki. Your smile whenever he’s around you, I remember it was the same when we became together 2 years ago”

“I think what we are now is just…” Inoo can’t continue as he bites his lower lip.

“Friends…” Daiki continued and looked at him into his eyes. Inoo felt like dying when his love said that painful word.

“Goodbye Dai-chan…” Inoo pats Daiki’s head before walking away.

“Arigatou, Inoo-chan” Daiki managed to say while wiping his tears. Inoo smiled as he heard him and never dared to look back. Daiki looked at Inoo’s back and bowed to thank him silently.

            The rain started to pour and Daiki remembered that Takaki always forget to bring an umbrella. He went back to their dressing room and grabbed his bag. He ran fast hoping to catch up with Takaki. As he saw Takaki’s figure walking carelessly under the pouring rain at the nearby playground,  he didn’t hesitate to ran towards him.

“Bakaki! Always forgetting your umbrella!” Daiki held his umbrella above Takaki’s head while giggling. Takaki just stared at him silently.

“What? Did I gave you a heart attack or something?” Takaki took his umbrella and throw it away.

“What are you-“ his words are cut when Takaki kissed him. Daiki responded immediately, his heart is beating so fast.

“I love you Daiki Arioka” Takaki mumbled after their first kiss.

“I love you too Yuya Takaki” Daiki hugged him and they kiss for the second time. The rain suddenly stopped and a rainbow appeared above them.

“My first kiss under the rain is the best!” Takaki said after pulling away.

“No, the kiss under the rainbow is the best!” Daiki insisted.
