Title: Life/Love Goes On

Summary: When Takaki’s parents died, he became a shut-in person but when he met Daiki, he falls for the guy and started to live normally again. He couldn’t get to confess his feelings because he’s afraid that their friendship will change if he did. Inoo (Daiki’s bestfriend) is somewhat preventing the two of them to be together so he warns Takaki not to confess. What will Takaki do to win Daiki’s heart without hurting the bestfriend?

Takaki woke up before his alarm rings, he got up and took a shower. He prepared a sandwich and a hot coffee for his breakfast. When he passed by the framed photo on his living room, he smiled and bowed to it before leaving. “I’m off to go, Mom, Dad”
It’s been a year since he started living by himself. His parents met an accident that caused their life leaving Takaki all alone. His parents had prepared his educational plan up to college and saved up for his living. But he didn’t want to spend all his parent’s savings so he decided to take a part-time job after school to save on his own. Today is his first day as a freshman in Senior High School so he’s really excited to meet new friends to ease his loneliness. He became quiet and unsociable when his parents died so he received his diploma without a family or friend to congratulate him.
He’s walking down the street and smiled as he saw other students making their way to school looking excited like him. He was too busy watching others when a shorter guy came from the left corner of the street and bumped to him.
“Ah sorry! I didn’t mean to!” the short guy immediately apologizes, catching his breath. It seems like he was running away from someone.
“No, it’s fine” Takaki shook his head and smiled at the short guy.
“Daichan! I told you not to run, silly!” another guy a few meters from them called out to the short guy. He finally walked towards them as he catches his breath.
“Inoochan, we’re gonna be late!”
“We still have 30 minutes, you penguin!”
“Eh?” Daiki took Takaki’s wrist to check the time and sighed in relief. “Ah, I thought we’ll gonna be late. Yokatta~”
“Yokatta ja ne!” Inoo smilingly whacked Daiki’s head lightly while the short guy laughed it off but Takaki never missed their smile, it made his heart skip a beat. He laughed a little making the other two give him a question look.
“You seemed pretty close” Takaki answered eventhough they didn’t ask him anything. Daiki just nodded while Inoo looked away and his expression turned plain.
“Ah! Same uniform! We’re schoolmates then!” Daiki noticed his uniform. Takaki just nodded but he noticed the other guy started walking ahead of them.
“Ah, your friend...”
“What? Oi Inoochan! Don’t leave us!”
“We’ll gonna be late if you just stand there” Inoo waved his hand slightly without looking at them.
“Come on! Let’s go together” Daiki invited Takaki so they catch up to Inoo and walked together. They checked which class they are appointed and found out they’ll be on the same class. Daiki was blabbering about how he’s lucky to be on the same class with Inoo for the first time. Takaki felt lucky too for having these two with him on the same class since they are the first ones he met. They proceeded to the opening ceremony hall and listened as the principal greeted them on his speech. One of the teacher called out to the freshman’s representative and Takaki was surprised because it was Inoo. Everyone clapped their hands as Inoo made his way to the stage especially the girls since the pale guy is really a prince material. He has pale complexion, droopy eyes, cute mushroom-style hair and a terribly beautiful smile that can make anyone melt.
“He’s awesome, right? Inoochan is a genius! He’s also the Student Council President in Junior High” Daiki whispered to him as they watch Inoo give his speech.
“Oh, I see” Takaki nodded. He didn’t really though that one of the person he just met has a high profile.
They finally went to their classroom after the ceremony and since it’s the first day, they were told by their homeroom teacher to freely join a club they desire after the rollcall. Takaki was glad that Daiki sits in front of him while Inoo on his left. He noticed that Inoo is a quiet-type of person when he’s not talking to Daiki. He just stares at the window on his side when Daiki is busy chatting with their other classmates. He thought of opening a conversation with him to start off.
“How long you’ve been friends with Arioka?” Takaki asked, Inoo shifted his eyes from the window to him. “We’ve been together for seven years now” he answered plainly and properly shifted his body to face Takaki. “I see. He’s such a cheerful guy, I kinda envy him” Takaki continued as he gaze at Daiki speaking so energetically with other boys. “Yeah, he’s a persistent noisy brat” the pale guy commented, a smile crept on his lips as he watches Daiki having an arm wrestling with a guy. “If not for him, I’m still home-schooling until now” he continued. Takaki just nodded but then he realized what he said awhile ago, “You didn’t go to school before? Why is that?”. Inoo narrowed his eyes at him, thinking if he’s a trust-worthy person to know his past. He sighed as he rest his cheek on his palm and directed his sight on Daiki. “I was a shut-in before. But when I met Daichan, he turned my boring lonely world in to excitement. He brought me to his favorite hill, to the game center, to amusement parks and so on just to make me smile”, he answered.
Takaki somewhat understands what he had been through, he was like that when his parents died. He just went home immediately after school. He quit the basketball club and rejected all his friends’ invitation. “By the way, you said you envy him” Inoo pointed out. “Well, I was a shut-in too when my parents died so I want to go back to my old self but it wasn’t that easy afterall” Takaki explained. “I know Daichan could help you but I don’t promise to be as friendly as him. We’re two different persons” Inoo informed, his face has no expression at all and making Takaki feels a chill on his spine. He felt like this guy doesn’t want to open his heart to him, not that he could complain though. He just met him this morning and being friends with this kind of guy is not that easy unlike Arioka who’s an outgoing person.
“What are you guys talking about? Let me join! Is it about a game or anime?” Daiki suddenly appeared and put his arms on both of them.
“Daichan, I’m hungry. Let’s grab some bite” Inoo asked and Daiki immediately agreed “Okay! Let’s go Takaki” he grabbed Takaki’s arm without waiting if the brunette agreed or not as the three of them walked out from the classroom.

omg Inoo is so cold to Takaki but he laughs normally with Daichan ;_;
I didn't read the summary so I thought it'll be like this > Takaki loves Inoo and Inoo loves Daichan XD
but after reading the summary I was like ASDFGHJKL;KJGD'LJGFSSFHJKLKGD!! Takaki fall for Daichan & Inoo doesn't like that!!
