CHAPTER 4
Since then Kota became closer to her and now they are celebrating the success of their convention project. The party is exclusively for the project organizers. Hikaru insisted in accompanying her but she said it would be unfair to others if she let him come. The night is getting deeper as the music became more lively and unstoppable. Almost all of them are drunk except her and Kota who chose to settle at the second floor where drinkers gather while the dance floor is downstairs.
Meanwhile, Hikaru was waiting for her call but due to school works he fell asleep on his desk.
“Something matter?” Kota asked as Kei stared at her phone
“Hikaru is not answering. Maybe he fell asleep already” she sighed and kept her phone on her bag
“Then I’ll drive you home” Kota smiled w/ his narrow-eyes smile again and made her hear skip beat.
“Are you sure? You’re not drunk yet, are you?” she chuckles
“Daijobu, I’m not alcoholic. Come on, it’s getting late” he took her hand as they left the party
“Still not sleepy?” Kota noticed that she’s frowning
“Hm, I’m hungry. Can we eat something?” Kei excitedly asked
“Sure, I know a great place”
They went for a drive-thru and parked the car near the sea. They eat there and talked. They talked about their dreams, their future plans and where they will work.
“I think, it’s time for me to go home. It’s already 2 in the morning” Kei giggled as she checked her phone.
“Sure, let me” Kota opened the door of the car and guided her like a gentleman.
They were quiet throughout the drive. When they arrived at Kei’s mansion, she insisted on dropping her at the gate because someone might see them and might cause Hikaru to get jealous or something.
“Thanks for the ride. I really enjoyed your company” she smiled at him as she unbuckles the seatbelt.
“Me too” he smiled back and she can’t help but to blush at that cute smile of his.
“So… see you again somewhere?” it was awkward for her to say goodbye after their enjoyable night.
“Jaa…”when he didn’t answered, she was about to open the door when he stops her.
Kota holds her hand and they stared deeply at each other. Their eyes talked and he slowly leaned closer to capture her beautiful lips. Kei unconsciously responded to the kiss so it became longer. The simple peck turned into a passionate one when he cupped her face and pressed his body to her. She moaned when he sucked on her lower lip and took the opportunity to explore her hot cavern. His tongue teased hers and so she did the same. Their tongues danced and they were aching for more. She pushed his body away when she’s out of breath. They were both catching their breaths when they pulled away. He caress her pretty face and leaned his forehead to hers.
“You make me go crazy. I want to see you again” he mumbled, Kei stared at him.
“I… I can’t. I’m with Hikaru already” she pulled away and looked outside.
“Don’t you like me?” he bluntly asked and it shot through her heart.
“I don’t know…” she wanted to say yes but she remembered Hikaru
“But your kiss tells me you do” he touched her lips with his thumb
“But I love Hikaru” she looked down
“Ask yourself if you really do. I’ll wait for you at the sea on 6pm to know your answer”
Kei finally walked out from his car and went inside. Her heart still confused.
CHAPTER 6
Kei stood and immediately walked outside. Yuya chased her immediately and reached her before she get into her car.
“Wait, let us talk more” Yuya grabbed her arm a bit. Kei shrugged and went inside her car and left. Yuya palmed his face and looked at her car. Kota saw them from the lounge.
“What’s this? Yuya was her admirer?” he asked his self. In the end, Kota decided to follow Kei home and will talk to Yuya later.
The next morning, Kei decided to work on their company to busy herself. Her parents were shocked at first but since she will be inheriting their company, they let her start working as the assistant of Vice President for Administration.
She took a deep breath before she knocks on the door of his first boss. She heard a man’s voice so she twisted the door knob and stepped in. Her boss was looking at the window when she entered and could only see his back.
“Good day, sir. I’m Yabu Kei. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu” she immediately greeted and bowed. She put up a smile but when she raised her head to meet her boss, she froze.
“No need for formalities, Kei” Yuya walked towards her and took her hand. He kissed it and smiled at her.
“T-Takaki-san? You’re my boss?” Kei stuttered
“I’ve been working here for 2 years now even though we have our own business” Yuya lead her to sit in the sofa.
Now she’s totally confused. First, this guy confessed to her after Kota broke her heart. Second, the premonition of the fortune-teller and now this. Her father didn’t talked about Takaki Yuya working on their company. Or maybe her dad really wanted to separate work from family. When they have party, she didn’t saw him there either.
“Are you that surprised to see me?” Yuya chuckled as Kei still kept quiet.
“I… didn’t know you work here. And you are a womanizer so I thought…” she played with her fingers as she kept her sight on her lap, not trying to look at him.
“I just waste my parents’ money to women and alcohol?” Yuya continued and she nodded shyly.
“Well, looks can be deceiving, right? The truth is Hikaru and Kota are the womanizer. I just accompany them whenever they want to go bar hopping to hunt some woman”
“How can you prove that?” she looked at him. He sighed before answering.
“The girl I was talking to at your home was my ex-fiancé. I just found out that she slept with other guys already so I broke up with her when we met that night. Those two didn’t know I was engaged so I kept it to them and pretended I was a womanizer” their conversation was interrupted when his secretary called on the line.
“Yes?” Yuya answered after he pressed the answer button and the loudspeaker on.
“Sir, Ms. Yuki is here and insisted to see you but-“ before the secretary finished, a girl entered the room and was crying.
“Yuya, please. Don’t break up with me, don’t leave me please. I need to help my parents revive our company. Please don’t break up with me, just please…” she took his hand and pleaded.
“Yuki, we’re done. I promise I will help your company revive if that is your concern” Yuya rest assured her and wiped her tears.
“Really? Oh thank you very much Yuya” she hugged him tight and noticed Kei beside him.
“Is she the one you love?” she pulled away from the hug and asked. Yuya just smiled and put his arm around Kei’s shoulder.
“I hope you two will be happy. Thank you so much Yuya” she pecked his lips for the last time before she bowed and left the two.
When the door closed, Kei walked away from him and fake coughed. She believes him now. After touring her around his huge office and gave her table beside his, they went for a lunch meeting. She was introduced as Assistant VPA and was gladly accepted.
Yuya drive her home and was met by a very jealous husband. Kei passed by in front of Kota as she went in to her room immediately to change.
“Yuya, let’s have a talk” Kota said so the two men went for a drink.
“Are you courting her, Yuya?” Kota asked as he took a drink and emptied his glass in one go.
“What’s the matter? You don’t love her, right? I just want to present my feelings so I’m courting her and being my assistant is a step towards her to be mine” Yuya answered sarcastically as he rolls the ice on his glass wine.
“She’s my wife, damn it!” Kota bumps the table angrily with his right hand.
“Oh, so you call her your ‘wife’ now? After she changed…” Yuya grinned as he looks at the latter’s reaction.
“How about you? You just want her physically so you flirt with her, right?”
“Do you remember when I told you about my nameless childhood first love?”
“Masaka…” Kota’s eyes widen as he remembered Yuya’s story.
“I already have a proof that she was Inoo Kei. The moles on her collarbones and her beautiful hands proves it”
“So you’re…”
“Yup, I finally found her because of you. Thanks Kota” Yuya patted his shoulder and left a dumbfounded Yabu Kota.
Kei got lost in the camping area during their kindergarten school trip. She walks and walks until she saw a river. She put her bag and things down and waited there until someone could save her. She heard a whimper so she looked for the source of that sound. A boy at her age was lying unconscious at the grass plain. She ran towards him and lifter his head to her lap.
“Nee, daijobu? Oi~” she tried to wake the boy up but the boy could only whimper. Kei ran back to her things and took a bottle of water. She went back to the boy and poured the water on the boy’s face.
“Uwaah~ Samui!” the boy woke up and shivered.
“Finally, you’re awake.” The little Kei crossed her arms on her chest as she pouts.
“Who are you? Are you a fairy?” the boy pinched her chubby cheeks but gained a whack from her.
“Ittai!”the boy winced in pain.
“I’m not a fairy, I’m a girl! I saved you because you’re not waking up” she stood and pats her shorts to avoid the dust on her clothes. Before she walks, he pecks her cheek shyly.
“Wait, I’m Takaki Yuya. What’s your name?” Yuya holds her hand and waited for her answer.
“I’m I-“she was cut when a 2 group of people ran towards them.
“My lady! Oh God, thank goodness you’re safe. Let’s go back to the camp please” her personal servant said as she scanned her little body if there’s a bruise.
“Yuya-sama, we’re here now. Let’s go back home now” the guy in black tuxedo said.
Yuya was not able to know her name because they were separated immediately. They took opposite directions so they never had a chance to talk again. Yuya’s vacation villa was near the river and also Kei’s camp location.

Summary: Yuya helped Kei recovered from his heartbroken experience done by Kota.
A mushroom head and a round geek glasses, that’s who I am. I’ve been like this since middle school and I still kept this image until now as a university student. You ask why? Well first of all, I can’t stand people looking at me so I used my hair and the geeky glasses to cover my face. Second, I’m able to look at my crush without him noticing. Hehe… you might think I’m weird and random but that’s the way I am. I’ve had many crush way back when I was in high school but up to now, I haven’t even experienced having a date with someone. One reason is that no one asked me to. And I would totally freak out if the one who’ll ask me was my crush.
Since I entered the university, my eyes are only focused to Yabu Kota. Yeah, he’s one of the hottest guys in campus but still, he kept his nice-guy image by being nice to others. We’re classmates to all subjects since he’s an architecture student too. Well that’s because I secretly copied the classes he chose and went for it! You could say I’m one of his stalkers but up to now, I haven’t even talked to him yet nor got closer to him. I just admire him from atleast 10 feet and satisfy my romantic desires.
When I finally got the guts to confess to him my heart turned into ashes as he humiliates me in front of his friends and boyfriend. Right then, I discovered his true color behind the nice-guy mask he wore everytime.
“Yabu Kota! I like you!” I bowed blushing so hard while waiting for his answer. I heard his friends behind him were laughing like crazy.
“Haha! Duh! As if I would return your feelings. Are you crazy? I already have a boyfriend” Yabu put his arms around Hikaru and kissed him.
“And soon to be fiance” Yabu smiled and the guy laughed too.
“Got that? Now go! Don’t ever show your face in front of us if you don’t want to ruin your life” Hikaru fiercely eyed him.
After hearing that, I can’t control my tears to fall so I ran away as fast as I could and went home while the heavy rain was there to cry with me. When I arrived at home, I noticed a car parked in front of the gate. I was welcome by a sweet smile from a very handsome guy.
“Kei… What’s up?” the guy hugged me even if I’m dripping wet. I was surprised and blinked at him.
“Oh? Since when you keep this image?” he removed my glasses. That’s when I recognized him.
“Y-uya?”
“Hisahiburi” he smiled and pushed me lightly towards the dining table.
“How? What?” is what I mumbled while looking at the feast-like laying on the table.
“Oh, Kei. There you are, we’ve been worried since you didn’t brought umbrella this morning. Look at you. Now, go take a shower first and come down so we can take our dinner with Yuya-kun” my mom didn’t even give me a chance to answer.
After cleaning myself and dress-up, I sat at my bed and remembered what happen a while ago.
“Yabu…” I sighed not noticing that Yuya was already sitting beside me.
“You’re boyfriend?” he asked me, I quickly shook my head.
“No, he dumped me a while ago” I answered him and I started crying. He put my head on his shoulder and pat my back.
“He’s the worst! I thought he’s a nice guy but it was only for a show. He didn’t break my heart, he pulverized it…” I sadly continue feeling comfortable in the arms of Yuya. He holds my shoulder and faced me.
“I’m here Kei. I’ll help you recover, we’ll make him regret of what he had done to you” he wiped my tears with his gentle hand.
“H-ow?”I stopped crying and looked deeply to his eyes.
“Will you trust me and do whatever I say?” he cupped my face, I gulped.
“Um!” I nodded
“Jaa, to seal this promise… you have to close your eyes” Yuya demanded and I did. I thought he has a surprise gift to me but I was wrong. I felt soft lips on mine, I opened my eyes and he pulled away. I touched my lips in disbelief.
“That’s the seal of our promise. Remember that, okay? Now, let’s go downstairs” he stood and opened the door.
After that seal of promise, the next day, he brought me to a salon and bought clothes at the mall. He chooses the clothes and I was very impress on how he picks it. My mom dropped me out from university due to my request because I don’t want to go there anymore. Two months have passed and my mother decided to remarry since my dad died 5 years ago. Now the old Matsumoto Kei is gone, the new Inoo Kei will start his new life.
Yuya persuaded me to continue my last year in the university with him. He transferred to my university just to help me recover. And now, we’re standing in front of the uni’s gate.
“Natsukashi…” I mumbled.
“Ready?” Yuya asked me while smiling. We can hear girls flailing around us and guys whispering.
“Kou? Doushita no?” Hikaru looked where Yabu was staring at. He saw two gorgeous guys standing at the gate entrance with girls and guys surrounding them.
“Ano… are you new here? I’ll help you go to your class” one girl bravely approached Kei and Yuya.
“Shut up! Ahm, how about we go out after class” another flirty girl asked after pushing the first girl. The other girls went rage and yelled at each other.
“Welcome to our university! You must be new here. I’m Yabu Kota” Yabu held out his right hand. Kei looked at Yuya like asking.
“Domo” Yuya casually passed by Yabu ignoring his hand while Kei is following him behind head down.
“Woah~ They’re not that friendly Kou… Maa! Let’s just go to class!” Hikaru pulled him to their class while Yabu is still quiet.
“Kou? Are you okay?”
“The other guy, I thought I’ve seen him before” Yabu mumbled while staring at the window
“Sou na! This is the first time we saw them, and I think they’re transferees”
“Maa, you’re right” Yabu faked a smile
“Woah~ Looks like they’ll be our classmates after all” Hikaru whispered at him. Yabu gazed at the newcomers from the door that sat two chairs away in front of them.
During lunch time, Kei and Yuya went to Kei’s usual spot at the rose garden after buying food.
“Still going with the plan?” Yuya asked out of a blue while we are eating. I put my chopsticks down and stared at the sky.
“I only realized just now…” Yuya stared at me with a curious look. I also looked at him and cupped his face.
“Kei, what-“ I cut his words with a kiss
“A seal of promise huh? More like ‘I love you’ kiss to me” I smiled at him while he just blinked.
“Does that mean…” I nod
“I love you Takaki Yuya” Kei smiled and kissed him again softly.

CHAPTER 4
“Otsukare!” Kei sighed while laying her head on her desk after their exams that day.
“I’m sure President will top again this time, ne?” one of the students said while talking with Yabu.
“Really? But I think, I kinda messed up this time. Student council really pressured me” Yabu smiled and Kei saw that.
Kawai~ His eyes disappeared.
The next day the rankings are posted at the bulletin and they were all surprised with the result.
“Omedeto Inoo-kun, you’re no.1 this semester!” one of her classmates congratulates her on their classroom when she arrived.
“Eh?” she just blinked.
“You haven’t checked yet?” Kei shook her head while fixing her glasses.
“Come and look!” she was pulled towards the bulletin board and saw her name ranked no.1 while Yabu was second.
“Eh~? Yatta!” she cheered upon seeing the result.
“Congratulations for ranking first” Yabu walked closer to her and held his hand.
“Ah, arigatou” she looked at his hand first and hesitated to shake hands.
“Come on! It’s a close fight, you know!” Hikaru elbowed her lightly so she finally took his hand for a handshake.
Kota felt something when their hands connected. He stared at his hand.
“Now it’s my turn, you have to defeat me at the sports festival, okay?” Hikaru placed his hand on her shoulder while smiling.
“Hai. Hai~” Kei sighed while walking away
“What’s with the sigh? Are you scared that I’ll defeat you?” Hikaru chase her and put his arm on her shoulder
“Hikaru, who’s the Varsity King here?” she asked sarcastically
“Ahm, me?”
“Then rest assured because I’m not that good compared to you” she rolled her eyes and removed his arm.
“Ne, wanna go to the arcade after class?”
“Iya da!”
“How about going to a gym? You know, muscle building…”
“Iya da!”
Hikaru keep on bugging Kei while walking back to their classroom.
“You okay?” Yuya tapped Kota
“Ah, yeah” they both look at the two and wondered.
“Since when did they got closer like that?” Kota asked
“Who knows? By the way, about the upcoming school festival…” Yuya answered
“Doushita no?”
“I have a bright idea on how we will find Azumi” Yuya smiled at him
“Really? Let’s discuss that after class then” Kota tapped his shoulder and return to their classroom.
“Sure, it’s gonna be a great hide-and-seek game” Yuya mumbled while following Kota.
The next day…
“Are you ready Kei?” Daiki focused the camera on Kei who’s tying her sneakers wearing jersey.
“Yosha! I burned my eyebrows just to pass the exam and enjoy the sports festival without worries!” she clenched her fist and raised it in the air
“And you overdo it, you ranked first they said” he took a shot of her with that pose
“Ah, that. Well, I guess I’m a hardcore geek after all” she chuckled
“You’re right but a very pretty one” he continue taking shots
“Hey, what’s with the camera? It’s not a photoshoot or something…” she pouts
“It’s for souvenir, you’re parents want me to take pictures of you and send it to them to make sure that you’re having fun studying here” he adjusts the lens
“Ah, sou ka. Well then, better take cool shots of me while I play okay?” she put her thumbs up
“Yokai! Boss!” Daiki did the same.
They left Kei’s house and went to school. They arrived at the school and Hikaru found her immediately while Daiki went to the audience’s seat.
“Are you ready, Inoo?” Hikaru excitedly asked
“Osu! Ah, I forgot to tell you I only joined the basketball league”
“Eh?” Hikaru blinked
“Because that’s the only sports I’m good at” Kei plainly explained
“If that’s so then I’ll be only playing in basketball too!”
“Eh? You don’t have to do that! They are expecting you to join them” Kei looked at the students who are waiting for Hikaru with pleading looks.
“Iya, I made up mind. We have a bet, right?” he smirked at her
“Ah… right” she gulped
CHAPTER 5
Since Kei was the captain of their basketball club during junior high in America, she’s quite confident that she will not lose easily to Hikaru.
“Yosha! Let’s play!” she cheered and as expected she became the star player of her team versus Hikaru’s team. Most of the time, Hikaru challenged her for a one-on-one but Kei kept on avoiding that.
SCORE: RED(Hikaru’s team) – 70 BLUE(Kei’s team) -69
There are 10 seconds remaining before the end of the game. Everyone is quiet because of the atmosphere. Kei is dribbling the ball.
“Come on Inoo, bring it on!” Hikaru was guarding her. She looked for a possible person to pass on.
Ah, Hayato-kun! I hope he can read my moves.
She smiled sweetly and that made Hikaru froze. She took the chance and passed it on her teammate on the left. She quickly ran but Hikaru tried to chase her. Her teammate passed the ball back to her, only 3 seconds left. She catches it and jump for a three-point shot. Hikaru managed to jump but failed to block it. 2…1… The ball made it and game over. Kei’s team won and the audience cheered so loud.
“Good job, Inoo-kun!” Their captain greeted her and high-five with her.
“Arigatou, buchou!” she was breathing heavily after the game.
Her classmates and teammates congratulate her and the crowd was cheering her name. She looked at the audience and smiled.
“Arigatou minna!” she bowed at them and waved happily.
“It was a great game” Hikaru walked towards her and asked for a handshake.
“Sasuga na from the Varsity King, you’re really hard to fight with” she took his hand for a handshake.
“You were avoiding me but in the end you finally proved your ability” he’s still holding her hand
“Ah that? I’m just waiting for a good timing, that’s all” she noticed that his hand is gently squeezing her hand.
“Um, that’s a good strategy” he smiled widely and showed his cute teeth.
“Ah, your hand”
“Ah, gomen” he immediately let go of her hand
“Ja ne!” she left him and went into the crowd.
“Ah~ You lost too Hikaru” Kota tapped his back.
“Yeah, you let your guard down back then” Yuya commented while staring at Kei
“Eh? I did? Maa, he’s really good I say” he looked at his hand
His hand is so soft and slender like a girl’s hand. I can’t help but to hold it.
Kei went back to him and elbowed him
“Don’t forget our bet, okay? You’ll treat me during lunch until we graduate, right?”
“Hai. Hai~”
“Ja!” she ran away again.
“So that’s your bet, huh?” Yuya asked while smiling
“He really loves food. By the way what’s the favor if you won?”
“Hi-mi-tsu!” he ran away to change and left the two wondering.
I promised myself that if I won, I’ll confess to him although it’s not right ‘coz he’s a guy. But, my feelings for him is now the same as my feelings for Azumi.

Summary: Yabu went shopping on a winter break where he met Aki. Surprisingly, his heart skip beat that time unlike the time they were introduced to each other by Kei.
He wore a blue scarf on his neck to pair up with his spiky blue belt and made his way to one of the shopping mall.
“Ah, winter… what a good time to buy some gifts” he mumbled as he catch some snow falling from the sky.
He first went to café to warm his body, he noticed a cute girl sitting on the other end of the shop. She was wearing a miniskirt w/ knee-high socks, blue inner blouse and a black coat. And he noticed, she’s covering her face with a mask.
Uwaah… She’s really cute… She must be waiting for her boyfriend… but why hide her cute face?
Yabu kept staring at the girl while drinking his capuccino.
“Ah, she was ditched” He noticed that after a phonecall, she stood and left the café. But he saw the tears from her eyes.
Oh damn! She’s crying! What should I do? What if she commits suicide? It’ll be my fault! Matte!
He immediately followed her because he’s worried of what the girl might do.
”Sumimasen!” Yabu managed to catch up on her.
“Ko-… Yabu-kun?” the girl recognized her but she didn’t remove her mask.
“Aki-chan?” after looking closely, he recognized her.
“Ah, um! Ma…” she looked away while tilting her head a little.
At first, I really thought it was Kei-chan… they’re really like twins!
“Shopping?” Yabu asked as they walked into the mall. She just nods.
“Hey, you can talk to me normally, you don’t have to be shy” he smiled at her but she looked down.
“Gomen… Ah! I forgot that ni-chan wants me to buy dogfood for Jam and An. I have to go” she excused her self
“Matte, can I go with you? I… ah… need to buy wanchan accessories for Yama-chan’s dog. You know, the dog really likes to bite me…” Yabu used an excuse to accompany her.
When they enter the pet shop, she visited the puppies first and played with them. Yabu noticed how Aki really loves wanchan.
“Haah! A shih tzu! Kawai na~” she bend down to take a closer look and Yabu did the same. He unintentionally noticed a small mole on her left leg.
“Cute, right?” she suddenly looked at him.
Yes, you’re really cute.
“Eh?“ Yabu blinked
“Kawai deshou?” she lifted the puppy and showed him.
“Ah, hai. Kawai desu ne” he blushed so he stood and quickly look for something to buy.
After buying from the pet shop…
“Are you sure you don’t want me to take you home?” she shook her head.
“Arigatou Ko-… Yabu-kun! Daijobu da yo! Ja, matta ne!” she bid him goodbye with a smile and left. Yabu stayed where he was while looking at Aki walking away. He put his hand on his heart and felt it skip beat.
“I think, I like Aki-chan…” he mumbled.
After the Christmas medley performance on Shounen Club, BEST were changing their clothes. Yabu accidentally noticed a small mole on Kei’s left leg, very similar to Aki’s. He got curious and laughed suddenly.
“Dou ka shita, Yabu?” Hikaru noticed him
“Ah, iya. It’s just I realize that Kei-chan and Aki are really like twins. They have really similar face and mole” Yabu smiled and elbowed Inoo.
“And how in the world you know that?” Daiki appeared behind them

After saying the script that Aki made him memorize on how she will dump him, he ended the phone immediately when some dust got into his eyes, he stood up and decided to wash his face to remove it until he heard a familiar voice.

“You may now kiss the bride” the priest told Kota. He lifts the veil and leaned closer but he really didn’t kiss Kei, his wife. He just put his lips closer and angled their heads to look like they are kissing. She raised a brow after he pulled out and smile to the crowd.
Their marriage is a business advantage set up by their parents but Kei already fell in love with Kota the first time she saw him on their omiai. She knows that he doesn’t like her but couldn’t care more because she loves him. Kei is the only daughter of the Inoo’s so she lived in a luxurious life. At a young age her sight became poor so she always wears a thick round glasses. With that, she looks geeky and old-fashioned. No wonder Kota didn’t like her nor even kiss her on their wedding ceremony.
After the tiring reception, Kei went straight to their bedroom and lay down.
“Oi, you should take off your dress first before lazing down” Kota commented upon entering their bedroom. Kei suddenly sit straight and cough.
“Gomenasai” she apologized. Kota loosed his neck tie and starts to unbutton his tuxedo.
“Ahm, I’ll just sleep at the guest room” she blushed and left the room, she heard Kota click his tongue. Since its their first night together at their new sweet home, they are alone. She starts to unpin the veil and the other accessories on her hair.
“Its alright… its gonna be fine… I hope…” she sighed. She changed into a white thin dress, removed her glasses and went straight to the bed. After an hour, she heard the doorbell. She put her glasses on, wore a robe and went down to get the door.
“Hey there! Where’s Kota and his wife?” Hikaru asked while walking towards the living room.
“I… I’ll call him, please wait for a moment.” She bowed and was about to go upstairs when she bumped into Kota. He just looked boringly at her and didn’t utter a word.
“Hey guys, what took you so long?” he said while giving high-fives to his two bestfriends.
“Sorry if we didn’t made it to the wedding, by the way, where’s your wife?” Yuya asked. Kei came from the kitchen carrying a tray of tea.
“She’s my wife. Kei, this is Yuya Takaki and Hikaru Yaotome” he sighed and gestured her to sit beside him.
“Hajimemashite, I’m Kei Inoo” she shyly smiled at the two. The two boys look at each other and laugh at the same time.
“No way! She’s your wife? I thought it was a hot rich girl?” Hikaru asked still laughing. Kei got embarrassed so she excused herself and walked to the guest room. She can’t stop her tears from falling.
I should have prepared myself for this, after all, he doesn’t love me…
She was finally able to sleep crying while the three boys are having a party downstairs.
The morning came and Kei woke up early to prepare breakfast. Kota woke up with the delicious smell of pancakes. He washed his face and went to the kitchen.
“Oh, so you cook?” he asked while sitting on the table.
“Yes, I learned from watching our chef back home” she answered still busy preparing the pancakes.
“Heh?” Kota uttered while reading the newspaper.
“Hm? Are those pancakes? I’m hungry…” Hikaru appeared and sat beside Kota.
“Okay, see you in an hour honey” Yuya also appeared talking on the phone. He kept his phone on his pocket and sat across Hikaru.
“New girl, huh?” Hikaru asked teasingly
“Iya, just one of the girls I met in a bar”
“So, when will you introduce her?” Kota asked. Kei served the pancakes and sat across her husband.
“What? No way! The last time I did that, you ended up with her in a hotel”
“Yeah, like Kota will steal your girl again” Hikaru laughed after commenting. Kei was just silent then she stood and carried her plate in the living room with a don’t-mind-me face. The three continued their conversation and Kei clearly hears them.

A tear fall from her eye and she quickly wiped it. She continued eating her pancakes while watching tv. In the afternoon, they are alone again. Kei decided to read one of her new novel books in the living room. Kota walked down the stairs and Kei asked him.
“Where are you going?” she asked sweetly but she was ignored
“I’ll wait for you for dinner” she said
“Don’t bother, I’ll be back in a week” Kota answered then closed the door loudly. She just sighed and mumbled,
“How long can you take it Kei? Or are you stupid enough to hope that he’ll love you back?”
Chapter 2
“Hikaru, do you know someone I forgotten? I really can’t remember my college days…” Kei asked sadly while she sat on her bed. Hikaru was standing beside the door, waiting for her order.
“I’m sorry Kei but I don’t” Hikaru lied because he was strictly ordered to not let Kei remember or even see Kota.
“Sou ka? Well, it’s just I always dream of a guy who is close to me but I can’t see his face. I wonder who was that person?” Kei continued while playing with her curly hair.
“Is there anything you want Kei?” Hikaru asked. She shook her head and lay down.
“You can leave now. Oyasumi!” she smiled at him.
“Oyasuminasai” He turned off the lights and closed the door upon leaving.
Meanwhile on Kota’s dream at night…
“Kota… aishiteru… Kota…” a girl giggled wearing a white dress and was playing hide and seek with him in a garden of chamomile flowers. He tried to find her but in an instant, she was nowhere to find.
“Dare ka?” he asked
A hand tapped his shoulder but when he looked back, he woke up. His head hurts so he consulted his doctor after an hour.
“Dr. Koyama, I always dream of a girl but I can’t see her face. Everytime I’ll face her, I’ll woke up and my head hurts. Is that normal?” he asked his doctor.
“Well, as I told you, you have amnesia but no need to worry because that’s normal. Just tell me if you remember something, okay?” Koyama takes down note and left after a handshake.
At school…
“Ahm… Kei, do you want to go to the amusement park with me? I mean, after our exam we need to… you know… get some fun or something?” Hikaru nervously asked Kei after their midterm examination.
“Sure” Kei smiled
“Eh?” his eyes widened.
“I said, sure. Since we’ve been busy practicing for our music piece.” Kei giggled and clung into his arm.
“So, shall we?” Kei dragged him towards the car.
At the ferriswheel, Kei is looking at the view outside while Hikaru secretly glares at her. She caught him looking but he looked away blushing. She giggled and asked,
“Hikaru, you’re blushing” he slapped his own face to stop from blushing so she laughed loudly. Upon seeing her laugh, he laughed too.
“Gomenasai. A-no… There’s something I want to say…” he gulped
“Hm?”
“K-ei, I like you” Kei froze and her face got serious.
“You like me?” she asked whisperly while looking at the window.
“No, more than that. I love you Kei. I loved you since young and my feelings for you got stronger everyday… I…” he continued but was cut when Kei hugged him.
“I like you too, Hikaru” she whispered to his ears.
“Kei, can I kiss you?” he gently asked after pulling away. She nods and closed her eyes. He slowly leaned closer and touched her lips. Their first kiss was very sweet and gentle. They enjoyed the rides and went home after having a dinner on one of the restaurant in the park. Their hands are intertwined while Hikaru was driving. Kei felt like this happened before and her headache starts. At home, he guided Kei towards her room and laid her down to her bed. He gave her a medicine and she drinks it.
“How are you feeling?” he asked gently while touching her hair.
“Ahm, better. Thanks for the medicine.”
“You should sleep now, I’ll tell your Dad that you’re sleeping already” he kissed her forehead
“Arigatou… Oyasumi…” he turned off the lights and left Kei alone.
At Adachi Inoo’s office at the mansion…
“So how’s my daughter? Does she remember anything?” Adachi asked.
“No need to worry sir, you’re daughter is fine and living a peaceful life without her memories.” Hikaru answered seriously
“Well then, continue to observe her. And don’t forget my orders”
“Hai, I understand sir”
“You can leave now” he bowed and left the office.
The next day…
Kei invited Hikaru to the old music room after their class. She sat and started to play the piano. Hikaru was standing beside her while listening to her beautiful music. He admires her beautiful fingers touching each white and black keys of the piano. He looked at her face, so pretty. Her eyes are perfect brown orbs, her high cheek-bones compliment her face, her inviting pouty pink lips, her pale skin looks so bright on her black dress. After pressing the last key, Kei glanced at him and smiled.
“How was it?”
“It’s perfect, just like you”
“I’m not perfect Hikaru… I’m just a normal person who commits mistakes in life and you know that”
“But for me, perfect means Inoo Kei…” he leans over and planted a kiss on her.
“Yamete yo! Stop joking around” she giggled and pushed away Hikaru
“But I’m serious”
“Hai… hai… why don’t you buy drinks for your girlfriend? I’m really thirsty. Onegai?” she used her angelic eyes to please him.
“Alright, just don’t leave and wait for me here, okay?” he sighed. She nods. He didn’t bother to close the door and left it half open. She started to play Ave Maria when he left.
Kota was walking towards the old music room hoping to find the mysterious piano girl. He smiled when he heard the piano playing and found door half open. He sneakly entered and stood beside the door. He can only see her back so he still can’t see her face. He closed his eyes, feeling the emotions flowing from the piano music of the girl. His phone rang and the music stopped. He nervously shut it off.
“Ah, gomenasai. Sorry for disturbing you” he walked closer and bowed.
“It’s fine, it’s just my concentration is not that good at all ” she replied.
He raised his head and finally saw her. Everything around him went slow-mo slow upon seeing her and he could hear his heart beats faster. He saw a goddess, a very beautiful girl he had ever seen in his entire life. He was dumbfounded.
“Are you okay?” she asked while looking confused. Kota snapped out of reality and replied,
“Ah, hai. Daijobu desu. A-no… May I know your name?”
“Excuse me, what are you doing here?” Hikaru suddenly appeared with both hands holding a bottled soda.
“Ah Hikaru, he was listening to me playing the piano…”
“I forgot that we need to go home early, let’s go” he guided Kei quickly to stand and walk away from the music room.

While driving, Hikaru’s face seems so nervous and he’s sweating a lot. Kei noticed it and wiped his sweat on his face with her handkerchief.

“What? I thought this is a business matter?”
“This IS a business matter and you two should get married soon to close the merging of our companies” his father seriously said so Kei just kept quiet. The business deal finished and both parties signed a contract. After the deal, Kota invited Kei for a lunch in a very high-class restaurant.

“Iya, it isn’t your fault, it’s our parents” Kei casually answered. Kota noticed how bad mood Kei is so he just kept their conversation out of the marriage thingy. They had fun talking to each other about university stuff and Kei even invited Kota to his room when they reach Kei’s home.

“Congratulations for being the Summa Cum Laude! Here” Daiki gave him a gift box and hugged Daiki back.

Previously, Daiki noticed that Kei is happy and smiling when his phone rangs. Kei even go home alone and refused to walk with him.

Upon hearing their conversation, Yuya raised a brow and said,

“Ano, sumimasen. Who is Takaki visiting here? A relative?” the nurse looked at him from head to toe then aswered,
“Ahm, who are you to Takaki-kun? We don’t give information to strangers”
“Ah….I….um…ano…”
“He’s my friend, Yoko-san. Come on!” Yuya appeared before them. Kei was surprised and froze. He just followed Yuya and arrived at the 3rd floor of the hospital at the end of the hallway.
“Konichiwa Yama-chan! Here’s strawberry short cake for you” Yuya gave the pale-looking boy a very big smile and placed the cake at the side table. Kei can’t believe what he just saw. He was speechless behind Yuya.
“Arigatou Yuyan~ Uwaah! Ichigo! A-re, Yuyan, is she your girlfriend? She’s pretty…” Yamada said while tasting the icing of the cake with his index finger. Kei looked behind him and assured that the boy was talking about him. He raised a brow and was about to say something but Yuya interrupted.
“Nope, he’s a guy Yama-chan. Though he has a pretty face.” Kei blushed upon what Yuya said. The whole time, Kei just watch from a corner how Yuya took good care to Yamada until the boy fell asleep and they leave the caring to Yoko-san. They left after assuring that the boy is already asleep.
“Ano… Sorry for what I said yesterday. I didn’t know about…” Kei looking on his feet shyly said while walking beside Yuya.
“This? It’s alright. It’s common, people always judge me for my looks. They never even looked at my true self. “ Yuya said while hands on his pocket. Kei saw an icecream shop and pulled Yuya inside.
“Come with me, I’ll treat you icecream. For my apologies atleast” Kei said. Kei is now looking at the menu after they took their seats. Yuya just shook his head upon seeing Kei.
He looks like a kid. Ice cream for apology? Am I a kid? Demo, I’m happy that he apologized to me. I wish we could be friends.
“Ano, can we be friends” Kei suddenly asked while looking seriously.
“Eh?” Yuya can’t believe what Kei just said.
“I said, if we can be friends… good friends…? I was touched when I saw you taking good care of that boy. And I think, I want to know more about you“

Yuya kept thinking of what really happened to Kei when she disappeared that afternoon during the first day of the festival. He investigated Kota’s background and he found out that he was in a psychic club during high school. He researched about a hypnotizing practice similar to amnesia. That’s when he thought that someone might have hypnotized her to falling in love with Kota and forgot of what happened during the hypnotization.
The only person who can do that is none other than Kota himself! I knew it from his stares, he likes Kei. No, he’s madly in love with her. He’ll really do everything to make Kei his. I’ll make sure you’ll pay for it Kota!
Since Kei is always with Kota, Yuya pulled her in an empty room when she was about to go to their meeting place. Yuya trapped her with her back against the door and blocked her sides with his arms. Kei was silent and nervous. Yuya just stared at her eyes as if telling her to remember him. She can’t look at his eyes so she avoided it.
“Ano… didn’t we talked about this already? I told you I-“ Yuya stopped her by kissing her softly. Kei’s heart beats faster. She can feel her face getting hot and her lips move. Responding to the kiss but her mind is telling her to stop and push him away. Her body move on its own and hugged Yuya. She pulled him closer by putting her arms around Yuya’s neck. She was enticed with the kiss. Yuya noticed that she responds to his kiss so he made it more passionate. Yuya pulled away but Kei obviously thirst for more. He smiled while touching her lips.
“So, your body remembers me but not your mind huh?” he asked sexily. Kei just blushed more and tried to hide her face when her phone rang. It was Kota asking where she is, she was about to go when Yuya holds her hand. She froze for a moment but she let go and quickly left the room.
Kei was silent while eating with Kota. He noticed it and asked her if something’s wrong, she just shook her head. He invited her for a date after her class and she just nod at him.
They are walking in a park, hands holding each other.
Why don’t I feel anything whenever he touched me? Kei thought.
“Want to eat ice cream?” Kota asked her and she nods. He bought 2 ice cream and they sat in a bench.
“Hey, there’s something here” Kota gestured but she was not able to wipe it totally. Kota leaned closer to her and kissed the side of her lips. She just blinked and looked down.
Why didn’t I felt anything when he kissed me? But that time, when Takaki-kun kissed me, my heart skips beat and my body move on its own. Wait… do I really love Kota? But my body is only responding to Takaki-kun. My mind is telling me to love Kota but, I feel… I don’t feel anything for him at all.
After Kota drive her home, she kept thinking about Yuya all night.
Why? Why can’t I forget him? Why did I respond to his kiss? Why does my heart beats fast when he’s close to me? Wait, that day. They said I was missing… but I can’t remember anything…
Her head hurts so she stopped remembering of what really happened and went to sleep.
The next day, Yuya and Kei went inside the classroom together, Yuya noticed that she avoided him. While listening to the class, he holds her hand but she withdraws her hand quickly.
I hope with the way she acts now, she’ll start to remember her true feelings for me. That I’m the one she really loves and not Kota.
Kota invited Kei for a road trip, while driving, he notice how she thinks deeply inside.
“Kei? Is there something wrong? You’ve been quiet since yesterday?” he holds her left hand resting on her lap. No respond, so Kota stopped the car in a vacant ground and stared at Kei who is still staring outside the window.
“Kei..” he touched her chin and pulled it closer. Her tears fall down her cheeks. Kota froze upon seeing Kei cry like that. She was sobbing and crying a lot silently all this time.
“K-ota, I’m sorry. My mind tells me that I must love you but… but… I don’t feel anything special when I’m with you. And whenever Takaki-kun is near me, I would always feel my heart pounds. I don’t know what to do, I feel nervous when he touch me. I don’t know anymore…I…” she was cut by Kota’s kiss. It was only short.
“Kei, I’m sorry. I guess this is the limit of my capabilities. I can’t stand to see you cry like that. I don’t want to see you suffer because of my doings.” Kota stated staring at the road.
“What do you mean? Wait, did you have something to do with my disappearance during the festival?”
“You really are a smart person. I liked you since Daiki introduced you to me and even though you look like a geek wearing that big glasses and having a straight fringe, I know you’re hiding your face to everyone. And I know that you’re very beautiful, not only that, you were smart and friendly. Your smile always make my day and I fell in love with you. That day, when you disappeared, I brought you inside my car. I hypnotized you to love me and hate Takaki then brought you in the gymnasium where Daiki will have his varsity practice.”
“Why?” she looked at him in the eyes.
“Sleep tight, my love and thank you” he snap his fingers and Kei suddenly fell asleep. He drives her home and gave her a final kiss. He let the butler carry her towards her room and left the mansion.

CHAPTER 2
It’s the day of submission of the blueprints and Kei was sleeping beside Yuya while waiting for the announcement. “Kei~… wake up. Didn’t you sleep last night?” Yuya worriedly asked Kei.
“Nope, I slept last night but I woke up at 4am because I thought about a great idea. I made some changes to my blueprint. So now, I lack sleep…” she layed her head on Yuya’s shoulder.
“Maa! You really are a troublesome girl, changing your plans at the last minute-“ he was cut when the dept head announces that Kei’s work is the chosen one. Everyone walked towards Kei and congratulated her, they praised her but Kei was too shy so she just bowed at them.
“You really are my rival after all!” Yuya said while they were eating at the usual café.
“Hmm? You see me as your rival? But I’m your fiance!” Kei pout cutely and made him chuckle.
“What?”
“You’re just so damn cute when you pout like that!” he poked her cheek.
“Hey! No poking while eating!” Kei told him. They didn’t know that a pair of eyes is watching them from the outside.
“Don’t worry Kei, in the upcoming festival, I’ll make you mine!” the stalker said on his mind.
The day of the festival arrived and since Kei’s blueprint was chosen, she was busy confirming if all of her plans have been done smoothly.
“Ah~ Tsukareta~… Ne Yuyan, can we eat ramen? I’m so hungry~” she hugged Yuya’s arm.
“Alright, wait for me at the car. I’ll just give this to the committee.” He soon left and Kei started to walk towards the parking lot. She was about to open the door of the car when someone covered her face with a handkerchief with an aroma. She was about to fell on the ground when she was caught and placed inside another car.
Yuya was worried on where Kei went when he didn’t find her on his car. He kept calling her phone but no answer. He was about to start the car when Daiki called his phone. Daiki told him that Kei is sleeping in one of the bleachers in the gymnasium. He went immediately there and found Kei lying on Daiki’s lap. Her glasses on Daiki’s hand.
“Kei? Where have you been? I’ve been worried about you!” Yuya put his hand on her shoulder.
“I…I don’t know. I just woke up here and I saw Dai-chan playing basketball. I called him and he went here” Kei explained.
“Kei, here’s your glasses.” Daiki gave her the glasses but Kei shook her head.
“I don’t wear glasses. Its not mine.” Yuya and Daiki raised their brow but they just let it be.
Kei is now eating in front of the two boys at a ramen shop as if nothing happened.
“Kei, are you sure nothing happened?” Daiki asked her.
“I told you, I’m fine. Ah! Kota’s here.” She waved at Kota and let him sit beside her. Yuya noticed how Kei blushed whenever Kota talked to her. For the rest of the day, Kei and Kota was together while Yuya and Daiki following them.
“Kei, let’s go home now. Your mom will be worried.” Yuya told her.
“Ano… Ko….Kota, will you take me home?” Kei shyly said. Yuya was so pissed off so he pulled Kei away from Kota and asked her.
“What are you saying? I’m your fiance remember? So why are you asking him to take you home?”
“Stop it! I… I don’t love you! So please let go of me already!” she said while trying to release her wrist from Yuya’s hold. Yuya was dumbfounded and released her.
“Hey! Don’t hurt her! Come on Kei, I’ll take you home.” Kota pulled Kei towards his car.
“What’s up with her?” Daiki said but Yuya went to his car and went home. He just can’t believe what Kei told her. He was unable to sleep immediately that night thinking of Kei.
The next day…
“Takaki-kun… I’m sorry but I want to break with you. I already fell in love with somebody” Kei confessed to him when they arrived at school.
“I already told my parents about it and they said that the final decision is from you so please… please cancel our engagement.” She bowed pleasingly at him. Yuya can’t believe what he is hearing now… he hugged her but Kei quickly pushed him away. Kei left him standing beside the car and ran towards Kota.
