Koizora High ~ Chapter 2

CHAPTER 2

During lunch break…

            Kei is walking towards her usual spot in the garden when she saw students already sitting there. She sighed and decided to eat her bento at the rooftop. She was about to open the door when she heard someone talking in the phone.

“You wouldn’t believe this! I’m now studying in Koizora High! And I’ll find Azumi as soon as possible”

…

“Yup, you know when I find her, I’ll confess to her right away” she gulped when she heard that. Due to her curiosity, she opened the door carefully and saw Takaki Yuya holding a phone.

It was him? He’s really persistent to find me huh?

“You know, I think I’ve fallen in love with her. She might not remember but there was a time when I saved her from a stalker…”

He saved me? But I don’t remember anything…

She noticed that Yuya was about to end the conversation so she hides at the back of the door. Yuya left the rooftop and went downstairs. Kei sighed and entered the rooftop.

“OMG! I wouldn’t be surprised if one day I will lost my favorite spot, good thing there’s no one here now”

            She sat at the bench and happily opened her bento.

“Itadakimasu!” she was about to take her first bite when the door opened and two guys came in. She dropped her bento on the floor and kneeled to get it. The two guys were laughing when they came in and stopped when they saw her..

“Oh, poor bento… sorry if I dropped you” she gathered the wasted food like it was her baby. The two guys laughed but stopped when Kei gave them a death glare.

“Oops! Sorry if we surprised you” Hikaru walked closer to her

“I apologize for this, we’ll get you one at the cafeteria then” Kota was about to exit when Kei stopped him.

“No need” she stood and quickly left. She walked passed Kota but he tried to talk to her so he holds her arm. Kei immediately let go and left. Kota froze and Hikaru raised a brow.

“What’s up?” Hikaru asked him

“Nothing, its just I felt weird when I touched him” Kota shook his head.

[A/N: I used “him” because Kei Inoo is using the boy’s uniform. Since Daiki’s father is the owner of Koizora High, she asked him to keep her secret and to let her dressed as male. The teachers are also aware that she’s female so they back-up her whenever the situation asked to, but the only person who knows that Kei Inoo is Azumi are Daiki and his father. So you can imagine her as a girl wearing male’s uniform with a thick round glasses and malecChestnut brown wig with straight bangs but curly hair.]

The next day…

            When Kei was about to stand from her chair, Kota placed a bento on her desk. She raised a brow. Kota smiled at her and made her heart skip beat a little.

“Apology from yesterday” he said. She looked at the bento in front of her and smelled the delicious onigiri. She gulped and changed her expression.

“No need, I have my own anyways” she stood and was about to walk away when Hikaru butt in.

“Hey, you shouldn’t be rude on Kota. He just wanted to apologize” Hikaru placed his hand on her shoulder and shivered.

“You okay?” Yuya popped out behind Hikaru.

“Sheesh! I told you, no need to apologize”

“Then accept this as a friendly gift then” Kota handed her the bento.

“Alright then” she coughed a little before taking it and left the room.

“He sounded like an annoyed girl” Yuya noticed.

“I felt like I touched a girl” Hikaru mumbled while staring at his hand.

“He’s a guy Hikaru. How could you feel that?” Yuya asked

“I don’t know, I just felt like it”

“Maa, let’s take our lunch now” Kota patted his back and lead them out.

Meanwhile…

            Kei is happy to take her lunch on her usual spot but more happy with the onigiri bento she had. She separates the chopsticks.

“I-ta-da-ki-ma-su!!!” she squealed.

“Why do you squeal like a girl?” Hikaru suddenly sat in front of her. She chokes due to her surprise.

“Oh, sorry. Daijobu?” he gave her a soda in can and she drinks on it.

“Why are you here?” she irritably asked.

“Just wanna hang-out for a while”

“Why here?”

“’Coz you’re here” he smiled at her. She hides her blush.

“Want some?” she offered her own bento and hides the onigiri bento. Hikaru chuckled upon seeing her like a little child who didn’t want to share his toy.

“Don’t worry, I won’t hit on your onigiri. Hm, let me taste your bento then” he took the other pair of chopsticks that belonged to the onigiri and took a bite. Kei just stared at him.

“Umai!” he exclaimed and took another bite.

“Hontou? I thought my cooking is just for my tastebuds” she sighed reliefly.

“You made this yourself?”

“Yup”

“Cool!”

“Cool?”

“Yeah, I mean. You’re like a girl preparing bento”

“I’m not a girl!” Kei smacked his head a little.

“Yeah, but you act like one” Hikaru smiled at her showing his cute fangs.

Oops! I forgot to act like a guy, wake up Kei!!! Or else you’ll be revealed!

In the end, she let Hikaru eat her bento so she ate the onigiri instead. After lunch, Kota seemed to notice Hikaru’s smiles during class.

“What’s with the smile?” Kota asked him while waiting for Hikaru to stand.

“Yeah, I also noticed you’re blushing” Yuya asked him too while sitting next to Hikaru.

“I think I like someone…” Hikaru stated while he shook his head smiling.

“EHH???” Yuya and Kota asked in unison.
